Bruce Bruce Davenport is a Centralian boy through-and-through. He has always been interested in broadcasting and started in radio in Alice Springs at the tender age of 15. He admits himself that he’s “been here waaaaaaaaaay to long” (he actually wired up the station in 1992!!!) and now acts in the roles of operations manager and all-round IT guy. Bruce hosts the afternoon show between 2pm and 4pm weekdays and claims the best thing about announcing in Alice Springs is you can get away with saying it’s “fine and sunny outside” 95 per cent of the time. His favourite saying - which scientists and linguists are still trying to work out - is “touch the monkey. $1,000 will be given to the first person who knows what he’s talking about! |
